What makes someone a leader? How do you become a leader? Is leadership a natural talent or a honed skill? Leaders today face new challenges due to social, political, and economical changes. Do these new challenges call for a new breed of leadership?  

 

Law enforcement is going through a major transformation, and leadership is going to be a critical part in making this transformation work. Today, some law enforcement agencies are beginning to recognize the benefits of a more inclusive, transformational approach, rather than relying solely on the more militaristic, authoritative approach that has characterized police work for years.
